This is a project-based assessment that can be used for distant-learning and benefit students that have no or limited access to technology, internet, and art resources. This assessment is simple and will truly allow students' creativity to flow.

This assignment consists of students using whatever materials that they have at home to create a piece of art with certain requirements, such as: 

• 10 different colors

• 6 different shapes

• 5 different materials/concepts (using newspaper/magazine clippings, using different artist's styles, markers, crayons, paint, watercolor, etc.)

 

Clearly, this assignment is designed to be open-ended ​so students can create their own piece of art using what they already know and have.
